A 24-hour dry zone needs to be considered to stamp out \u201cappalling behaviour\u201d in Adelaide\u2019s parklands, says councillor Anne Moran.<\/h3>\n

\u201cThe residents are up in arms and quite rightly so,\u201d councillor Moran told Alan Hickey on FIVEAA.<\/p>\n

She said the current rules \u2013 allowing alcohol to be consumed between 11am and 8pm \u2013 had stopped working.<\/p>\n

\u201cReally in the last few weeks it hasn\u2019t worked, and hasn\u2019t worked spectacularly.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately we may have to become more draconian to deal with outrageous behaviour in the parklands.<\/p>\n

Councillor Moran said it was only 30 or 40 people who were causing trouble.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt isn\u2019t just an indigenous issue, there are all sorts of people down their drinking.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the behaviour that we\u2019re trying to discourage,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
