\u201cCan\u2019t we just go back one time, on one issue? I am, you are, we are Australian.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said Australia could switch to a republic using his model for the \u201cprice of a postage stamp\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything stays the same.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut instead of asking the Queen, you simply ask the parliament of the people.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re simply taking exactly the same system, we\u2019re putting it on the back of a you beaut ute, and we\u2019re shifting it beneath the Southern Cross, and we\u2019re done and we\u2019re dusted.\u201d<\/p>\n
