O\u2019Loughlin said it revealed where Australia is at.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not everybody, it\u2019s a small minority. But it\u2019s letting everyone else down. The whole world\u2019s watching.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI think this is even more than just a footy thing now, it\u2019s about my mate. He\u2019s going through a tough time \u2013 his mental wellbeing.\u201d<\/p>\n
O\u2019Loughlin said he had struggled to explain to his young son why crowds were booing Goodes.<\/p>\n
\u201cHey dad, why are they booing uncle, and I couldn\u2019t explain it to him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are some people in the crowd that don\u2019t like uncle. Explaining that to your kid is really difficult,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
O\u2019Loughlin said indigenous leaders were not \u201cgoing sit quietly in the dark and let it roll over\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll keep standing up for our younger generation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
