Caroline Wilson says Mick Malthouse and Carlton have made things hard for themselves.<\/h3>\n

Malthouse is under pressure after Carlton\u2019s winless start to the season and the fact the club is yet to re-sign him past the end of this season.<\/p>\n

But Caro has little sympathy.<\/p>\n

\u201cMick has brought this largely on himself in my view,\u201d Carol told Rowey and Bicks on FIVEAA.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I think Carlton have brought this on Mick as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a bit of a sad indictment on how sensitive this whole situation is that the AFL have been forced to sort of come out and almost instruct the football public an media to respect Mick.\u201d<\/p>\n

Caro said Malthouse\u2019s three premierships as coach \u2013 including the West Coast Eagle\u2019s first two flags and Collingwood\u2019s first in 20 years \u2013 was \u201ca might effort\u201d.<\/p>\n

But she said \u201cpeople are a little bit tired of hearing about how Nanette\u2019s in tears all the time. I hate to be cruel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mick has spoken publicly recently about the toll intense media scrutiny is taking on his family, particularly his wife Nanette.<\/p>\n
