\u201cMy wife is the same age as me and she\u2019s in tears two or three times in the last week because of things that have been written,\u201d Mick told Rowey and Bicks on FIVEAA.<\/p>\n
Mick has been targeted, especially in Melbourne, after Carlton\u2019s poor start to the season. <\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t control what the papers or anyone else says. I think there\u2019s an insensitivity and a little bit of disrespect at times,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t need my wife \u2013 she\u2019s been with my since I was 19 \u2013 breaking down in the mornings and saying look I can\u2019t cope anymore. It does get to you.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can cope with most things, but I hate seeing my family under stress. And unfortunately I think some people know that they\u2019re under stress and keep the button down.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a shame that sport has to come to that sort of stuff,\u201d Mick said.<\/p>\n
