Gary Ablett is back on the sidelines as he recovers from a shoulder injury he sustained in 2014.<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s got some asking whether his best is behind him, but former teammate Cameron Ling isn\u2019t having any of it, pointing to Ablett\u2019s form last year before his injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was that far out in front of the Brownlow, every award under the sun, he was dominating, he was the best player in the competition by a mile.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think half a season later that changes too much,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Ablett turns 31 in May.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you can throw out age when it comes to him because last year he was unstoppable,\u201d said Ling.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019d be writing Gaz off a little bit too early assuming that the shoulder\u2019s ok.\u201d<\/p>\n
