The AFL anti-doping tribunal found 34 past and present Essendon players not guilty of doping and ASADA has until 19 April to decide whether it will appeal.<\/p>\n
\u201cDon\u2019t have any visibility,\u201d AFL boss Gillon McLachlan flatly told Rowey and Bicks on FIVEAA.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s obviously a decision for them. I made by position clear.\u201d<\/p>\n
After the verdict McLachlan said his personal view was that there should be no appeal.<\/p>\n
If ASADA decline, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has another 21 days after ASADA\u2019s deadline to decide whether to appeal.<\/p>\n
McLachlan said he had no information about what would happen.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t have any insight\u2026 and we\u2019re just sitting and waiting.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just been an incredibly challenging period for our game, and there\u2019s lots of aspects to that.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just been very damaging\u2026 And I just hope we can all learn the lesson.\u201d<\/p>\n
