\u201cRundle Mall had had nothing done to it for 40 years,\u201d Mr Smith told FIVEAA breakfast.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut it\u2019s not about the paving and the upgrade. For me it\u2019s about making sure that we\u2019ve got a premium retail place in the city that\u2019s going to attract people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you look at the figures in terms of return on investment, the visitation\u2019s gone right up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Talking about Victoria Square, Mr Smith said it is the centre of Adelaide and something needed to be done.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s not just about the upgrade of Victoria Square, it\u2019s about having a place in the middle of the city that can bring people in.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s really important that we use that to attract people into the city and that\u2019s good for businesses,\u201d Mr Smith said.<\/p>\n
