Mick Malthouse slams new TV plan.<\/h3>\n

\u201cOut. Totally out.\u201d<\/p>\n

That was Mick Malthouse\u2019s answer when asked on FIVEAA where he stood on Fox Footy\u2019s plan to hold joint coach press conferences after AFL matches.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere would you be if you get beaten by 15 goals,\u201d Mick told Rowey and Bicks.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou sit there and you think to yourself, how do I handle this bloke next door to me who\u2019s trying to be kind to me?\u201d <\/p>\n

Mick said the result would be a complete sham.<\/p>\n

\u201cReality-wise there\u2019s no truth in anything that\u2019s coming out of anyone\u2019s mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n

The losing coach wouldn\u2019t want to seem \u201coverly disappointed,\u201d and the other one wouldn\u2019t want to seem \u201coverly gleeful,\u201d Mick said.<\/p>\n

Mick said coaches were merely a \u201csideshow\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m hoping that coaches have enough common sense to know that the game\u2019s not about them. The game\u2019s about the players.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery coach that says yes now will be, midway through the year, going what in the hell have I got myself into,\u201d Mick said.<\/p>\n
