There will be a council review after Fringe, says Lord Mayor Martin Haese.<\/h3>\n

\u201cThis time of year is fabulous. We all acknowledge that,\u201d Mr. Haese told FIVEAA breakfast.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is now a matter of finding the right balance. Finding the right balance between our temporary activities and our permanent activities.\u201d <\/p>\n

The comments came amid concerns that popup-style events like the Royal Croquet Club are hurting established businesses.<\/p>\n

Mr. Haese said the council has an obligation to listen to ratepayers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re contributing to the city of Adelaide, they\u2019re taking a risk, they\u2019re investing, they\u2019re employing people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr. Haese said Adelaide Council would review its guidelines around hiring public spaces once the festival season was finished.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think this is about the what. I think this is more about the how.\u201d<\/p>\n
