Conduct a complete check<\/strong> of any irrigation systems ensuring those hidden drippers and sprayers are not clogged and are getting the water to where it is needed most.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Check your garden hose<\/strong> and fittings for sun damage, a typical garden hose will usually only last 3-4 years in the Australian sun. Nothing worse than your hose popping when you\u2019re not home!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Garden hose\" title=\"Garden hose\" class=\"media-element file-default nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/garden-hose.png\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Consider a timer tap<\/strong> \u2013 remember there is still restrictions between 10am and 5pm so watering in the cool of the morning is best for your plants \u2013 turn it on as you leave for work in the morning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Drippers are more efficient<\/strong> way of providing water to plants in the harsh Adelaide summer than almost any other method. Wetting agents and crystals<\/strong> can greatly enhance the effectiveness of the water you invest in your garden.
