With your superannuation as you get closer to retirement within your super fund you have a choice of different investment options to put your money into. So you can either be in a balanced fund or a conservative fund or just an interest fund so you get to choose.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you get your superannuation statement usually flip it over on the backside of that letter and it\u2019s got all the boxes and ticks on where your money is invested. Within your super fund you can make it more conservative in your own right without leaving your superannuation partner. That\u2019s what you should be doing.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you\u2019re approaching retirement at this very minute, say within six months of retirement, you should be in those more conservative options. If you\u2019re a bit younger and have got five to 10 years to retirement, just don\u2019t worry about it because you\u2019ve got plenty of time on your side for markets to bounce back.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd they will bounce back, they always bounce back from these black swan events that no one countered on and it\u2019s hit everyone for six.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
