FIVEAA Breakfast\u2019s David Penberthy says it\u2019s time for the state government to muscle up to the \u201corganised whingers\u201d who are stopping big projects from going ahead in Adelaide.<\/h3>\n

Penbo specifically called out opposition to the proposed Adelaide Crows Aquatic Centre redevelopment and the eastern suburbs Peregrine helipad in Wednesday\u2019s Breaking @ 8 segment:<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a growing view in business and corporate circles in Adelaide that it\u2019s high time that the state government started muscling up and using the authority and the legislative power that it has to intervene to enable some of the biggest but most fraught developments that are on the table in south Australia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got all these people who want to spend money to create jobs, generate economic activity in a state that has been struggling for decades now to find a post heavy manufacturing future and you add up the cumulative toll of all these things as a state that does nothing because organised whingers get in the way and stop it from going ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
