Last night he was lighting up Adelaide Oval in front of 55,000 fans but today legendary Queen guitarist Brian May has taken to social media to blast Marion Council\u2019s proposed cat curfew as \u201cabsolutely vile\u201d.<\/h3>\n

Noting the \u201cnice front-page review\u201d of Queen\u2019s Wednesday night show in The Advertiser, May then took aim at the plan:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat miserable bastard thought that one up?\u201d he wrote on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cA law like this would give the worst elements of society Carte Blanche to abuse their neighbours\u2019 pets. How absolutely vile.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Under the plan, the council would supply cages so people could catch cats wandering on their property between 9pm and 7am.<\/p>\n

At breakfast, the morning after our collective celebration last night at the Oval, Adelaide. Nice front-page review in the local paper. Thanks guys. But what is catching my eye is the revolting headline that shares the front page. They\u2019re gonna TRAP CATS ?!! What miserable bastard thought that one up ? A law like this would give the worst elements of society Carte Blanche to abuse their neighbours\u2019 pets. How absolutely vile. Well, we have miserable bastards back home too, always looking for ways to disrespect animals, as if they were \u2018pests\u2019. We fight them. Day in and day out. Fight this, dear friends in Adelaide – don\u2019t let the brutal elements win. Cats have as much right to patrol the streets as humans. What are they gonna do next ? Put a curfew on birds in case they might poop on Mr. Precious\u2019s garden ? I also note the lame attempt to try to pretend this is about protection of wild animals. It\u2019s not. And do they really@think cats only scratch at night ? Jeez… !! ADELAIDE FOLKS ! Fight for the dignity of your non-human animal friends. Message your outrage to your MP\u2019s and local councillors. Make sure this barbaric unworkable piece of nonsense gets laughed out of court. Am I an interfering foreigner ? Yes. But this is part of a global fight that we must win. Just for the record, yes I did see the other headline about a father killing his daughter. The difference is, I can do nothing about this. About abuse of animals, I CAN do something.
