FIVEAA sports show co-host Stephen Rowe says he\u2019s heard a whisper Nick Kyrgios \u201cwon\u2019t be here in Adelaide for the Davis Cup\u201d after the Australian tennis star was named earlier this week<\/a> to play here in March.<\/h3>\n

The tip-off comes as Kyrgios was booed off court in Mexico when he retired hurt with a wrist injury.<\/p>\n

Rowey told David & Will on Thursday\u2019s FIVEAA Breakfast show:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he\u2019s injured I\u2019ll walk to China backwards, fair dinkum. A wrist injury, c\u2019mon, please.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was told the other day he won\u2019t be here in Adelaide for the Davis Cup. I hope I\u2019m wrong. I hope the person that told me is wrong. I hope he comes here.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe loves playing for the Davis Cup. I think that was the turning point of his warmth and season this year when he came and represented Australia under Lleyton Hewitt. He clearly loves that team environment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope he\u2019s ok. I hope the wrist isn\u2019t that bad and away he goes. But fair dinkum, it happens too often for this to be a fluke\u2026 he\u2019s admitted he tanks games.<\/p>\n
