Bicks told the FIVEAA sports show following news of Milera\u2019s new five-year deal on Thursday:<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not sure who would be happier — the Adelaide footy club who get a young player in Wayne Milera to commit for five years, and they would probably get him at a pretty bargain basement price because he finished I think 15th in the best and fairest last year — didn\u2019t have a great year.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey would get him very reasonably priced. You think: Wayne Milera, five years, it\u2019s a massive show of confidence for a bloke who\u2019s played 60 games and hasn\u2019t really hit his straps yet\u2026<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s still a little bit of a question mark\u2026 you\u2019d have to say last year he went backwards\u2026 he played 17 games and finished 15th in the best and fairest. He finished 41 votes behind Rory Atkins and 31 behind David Mackay.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think his output, most people would\u2019ve expected it to be greater. I still have enormous hopes for him but 60 games and a five-year deal is a huge vote of confidence. Well done and good luck to Wayne Milera.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I was Wayne Milera\u2019s manager, had a great pre-season, I would\u2019ve waited first four or five games, he plays really great footy, he\u2019s the hottest property going around and he probably gets a much bigger deal.<\/p>\n
