UPDATE, 1:45pm<\/strong> — Two Australians are among the 10 people confirmed to have tested positive for coronavirus onboard a cruise ship quarantined off the coast of Japan.<\/p>\n

3,700 passengers and crew are in mandatory quarantine for two weeks after 10 passengers aboard a Princess Cruises ship in Yokohama, Japan, tested positive for coronavirus.<\/h3>\n

According to 7 News:<\/p>\n

The company said on Monday that a previous guest, who didn\u2019t have any symptoms while aboard the ship, tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday – six days after leaving the ship.<\/p>\n

The ship was being held in Japan for 24 hours while Japanese health authorities assessed the 3,700 passengers and crew on board.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese 10 persons, who have been notified, will be taken ashore by Japanese Coast Guard watercraft and transported to local hospitals for care by shoreside Japanese medical professionals,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n

The ship will be quarantined for at least 14 days, the company said, as is required by the Japanese Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n
