UPDATE, 11:50am:<\/strong> A second person has been confirmed dead.<\/p> \n \n

According to 7 News:<\/p> \n \n

South Australian Premier Steven Marshall has confirmed that a second person has died in the state’s bushfire crisis.<\/p> \n \n\t

At a media conference on Saturday morning, Marshall confirmed a person had been killed in Charleston.<\/p> \n \n\t

“My fear is this is only the tip of the iceberg,” he told reporters.<\/p> \n<\/blockquote> \n \n

He also said:<\/p> \n \n

So far 40,000 hectares have been burned by the Cudlee Creek fire, with 15 homes, 28 other buildings and 16 vehicles destroyed.<\/p> \n \n\t

And 23 firefighters, two police officers and 29 members of the public have needed medical treated in relation to the fires.<\/p> \n \n\t

Three Country Fire Service trucks were also destroyed.<\/p> \n \n\t

Police have confirmed they are currently checking on the welfare of 90 to 100 people across the various fire grounds.<\/p> \n<\/blockquote> \n \n
