The Adelaide Crows are preparing to play \u201cback to back\u201d games when the AFL season resumes possibly in late June or early July, says AFC chairman Rob Chapman.<\/h3>\n \nChapman told Rowey & Bicks on Monday\u2019s FIVEAA sports show:<\/span>\n \n
\u201cI think the pivotal announcement is next week when Gillon has already said publicly that he will announce a commencement date for the remaining 144 games…<\/span>\n \n\u201cWe are looking forward to planning what that means: come back to training where the boys can regroup and get on with the remaining 144 matches.\u201d<\/span>\n \nChapman said although he would only be guessing, \u201cthe tone has started to change\u201d in conversations about a possible AFL return in 2020.<\/span>\n \n\u201cIt is looking more likely that we\u2019re going to get the season that we\u2019re all hopeful for,\u201d he said. \u201cBut it has to be a minimum of six weeks away…\u201d<\/span>\n \n\u201cGetting players back to their clubs and 50 per cent of them are from interstate, so there\u2019s an isolation period automatically. You\u2019ve got to get into your training routine again for at least a month.
