{"id":42091,"date":"2020-06-09T11:23:23","date_gmt":"2020-06-09T01:53:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/?p=42091"},"modified":"2020-06-09T13:59:28","modified_gmt":"2020-06-09T04:29:28","slug":"theres-a-chance-people-will-be-allowed-into-this-weekends-showdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/david-and-will-2\/theres-a-chance-people-will-be-allowed-into-this-weekends-showdown\/","title":{"rendered":"There\u2019s A Chance People Will Be Allowed Into This Weekend\u2019s Showdown"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UPDATE, 1:56pm<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/sport\/set-number-of-fans-will-be-allowed-into-this-weekends-showdown\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Confirmed: 2,000-plus fans will be allowed into Saturday&#8217;s Showdown<\/a> to watch Port Adelaide vs Adelaide Crows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EARLIER&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens says it is possible a crowd of some sort will be allowed entry into the Port vs Crows Showdown at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commissioner Stevens said \u201cexpectations have shifted\u201d after a <a href=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/david-and-will-2\/premier-talks-about-the-decision-to-allow-adelaide-protest-to-go-ahead\/\">Black Lives Matter rally was allowed to go ahead last weekend<\/a> and the question of a Showdown crowd will be officially discussed on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cIt\u2019s definitely a conversation that the transition committee are having,\u201d Commissioner Stevens told FIVEAA Breakfast\u2019s David &amp; Will on Tuesday. \u201cWe\u2019ve already started that conversation and we\u2019d be looking to firm something up today so we can give as much advice as possible as early as possible to those people who are affected by our decisions or who get to benefit from those decisions.&#8221;<\/p><p>\u201cThe transition committee is meeting again today\u2026 there are things on our agenda today that were already there about freeing up more activities within the community including attending sporting activities.<\/p><p>\u201cWe\u2019ll see what comes out of the transition committee today but it\u2019s a reality that people\u2019s expectations have shifted because of this rally.
