{"id":42419,"date":"2020-06-23T08:45:16","date_gmt":"2020-06-22T23:15:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/?p=42419"},"modified":"2020-06-23T08:45:19","modified_gmt":"2020-06-22T23:15:19","slug":"sa-preps-for-rise-in-covid-19-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/sa-preps-for-rise-in-covid-19-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"SA Preps For Rise In COVID-19 Cases"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plans are in place to deal with increased cases of coronavirus in South Australia as lockdown and border restrictions ease.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In comments reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelaidenow.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Advertiser<\/a>, chief public health officer Professor Nicola Spurrier said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cWith the relaxing of restrictions and the increase of interstate or international visitors, there is no doubt we will see more cases \u2013 whether that be a single case or new clusters \u2013 so we must not become complacent.<\/p><p>\u201cFreeing up hospital capacity, targeted hotspot lockdowns, pop-up COVID-19 clinics and increased contact tracing capabilities will all be part of the response.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professor Spurrier also urged people to maintain good hygiene, follow social distancing rules and seek tests for any illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Monday SA had recorded 27 straight days without any new cases and 19 days without any active cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">South Australian COVID-19 update 22\/06\/20.
