{"id":42724,"date":"2020-07-09T13:36:40","date_gmt":"2020-07-09T04:06:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/?p=42724"},"modified":"2020-07-09T13:36:43","modified_gmt":"2020-07-09T04:06:43","slug":"premier-announces-covid-19-testing-blitz-in-south-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/premier-announces-covid-19-testing-blitz-in-south-australia\/","title":{"rendered":"Premier Announces COVID-19 \u201cTesting Blitz\u201d In South Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Premier Steven Marshall is asking anyone who has been to Victoria \u201cin recent weeks\u201d to get a coronavirus test, while anyone returning after the border officially closed last night will be required to have a test.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr Marshall said under the Public Health Act the government had the power to enforce tests \u201cif people are doing the wrong thing and putting the health of other South Australians into jeopardy\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cWe will be staring a testing blitz in South Australia effectively immediately,\u201d he said on Thursday. \u201cWe are asking all people who have been into Victoria in recent weeks to present themselves immediately for testing for COVID-19. Even if people do not have symptoms we are asking them to present themselves to make sure we can look at every single possibility.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cAs of midnight last night any South Australians that are returning will be required to undertake a test within 24 hours of crossing the border. Whether that be a road border or at the airport they are now required to undertake a COVID-19 test within 24 hours and then again on day 12.
