In a discussion with Warren Tredrea on the FIVEAA sports show this week, Bicks spoke about sidelined Gibbs whose career seemingly hangs in the balance as he waits on a possible a call up following an injury to club captain Rory Sloane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an interesting one,\u201d Bicks said. \u201cSloane played mostly on the wing last week. I\u2019ve got this feeling they probably see Gibbs as a halfback flanker and at the moment they\u2019re trying Will Hamill, they\u2019re trying McPherson. If they need a wingman maybe they\u2019ve got more confidence in Mackay to play the wing as opposed to Bryce Gibbs.\u201d<\/p>
TREDDERS:<\/strong> \u201cWhere does that leave Gibbs then? Let\u2019s be honest, he\u2019s going to a club on minimum next year to keep his career alive because if Adelaide\u2019s not playing him now it\u2019s pointless.\u201d<\/p>
BICKS<\/strong>: \u201cI don\u2019t think he\u2019s going to any club, let\u2019s be frank. You\u2019re not playing him in front of McPherson or Sholl or Hamill or any of those players\u2026 Adelaide are the 18th best team in the competition by the length of the Flemington straight\u2026 so he can\u2019t get a game in Adelaide\u2019s team, who\u2019s puting their hand up to play him?<\/p>

This week Crows assistant coach Matthew Clarke said Gibbs would be considered for selection after good form in practice matches in the club\u2019s QLD hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cClearly we know the capacity he has, his form in these games was strong and therefore he will come under consideration,\u201d Clarke said.<\/p>
