Over the weekend NSW Police won a bid in the Supreme Court to stop the rally from going ahead, but the host of Channel 7\u2019s Sunrise show told FIVEAA Breakfast\u2019s David & Will on Monday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe had one of the organisers on the show this morning saying they\u2019re still going to go ahead, that they think they can socially distance and they\u2019re saying everyone wear a mask,\u201d Kochie said.<\/p>
\u201cWe understand the message and your passion about the issue but hey, we\u2019re in the middle of a pandemic. We haven\u2019t had Anzac Day marches, we haven\u2019t had Easter shows, we\u2019ve had restrictions on people going to funerals and visiting their relatives\u2026<\/p>
\u201cYour issue\u2019s not going to go away, just delay it until we get through the worst of this pandemic so we know the community can be protected.<\/p>
\u201cThey\u2019re still determined to do it and I think the police and the authorities are going to be determined that it\u2019s not going to go ahead.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
