The old million-dollar retraining fund \u2013 big deal. What are you doing about it? 94 jobs and they\u2019re real jobs, these are real jobs\u2026 Lion apparently didn\u2019t ask for government assistance, which would have to be a first. Couldn\u2019t something have been done to keep them here, or don\u2019t we care about it? Have a look at that strip of Port Road \u2013 Coke factory, ES Wigg & Son, and now West End brewery\u2026<\/p>
\u201cI don\u2019t buy the shift in consumer behaviour. This is a global brewery. You can\u2019t tell me that they\u2019re not smart enough to somehow keep operating in a town if they want to keep operating in a town. They\u2019re moving it to Brisbane and Sydney and then they\u2019re going to build a smaller brewery somewhere, which they could build here. Why aren\u2019t we bidding to have that here? We just sit back and go, oh well, that\u2019s the trend.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
