FIVEAA Breakfast\u2019s David & Will breakdown a statement released this week by the Woodville Pizza Bar worker at the centre of the state\u2019s lockdown shambles\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 36-year-old Spaniard is now the subject of a major police investigation after it emerged he had given false info to authorities, prompting the government to cut short SA\u2019s six-day circuit breaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to his statement the man is \u201cextremely remorseful and deeply sorry for any part his conduct played in the unnecessary lockdown actions\u201d.<\/p>

\u201cHe did not foresee or intend that things might unfold as they have,\u201d lawyer Scott Jelbert said on his client\u2019s behalf.<\/p>

\u201cSince entering quarantine he has had limited information about government media releases, public opinion and social media.<\/p>

\u201cI am however instructed that some information is not fair, accurate or complete notwithstanding the state government\u2019s comments, and he is concerned he has been all-but publicly named.<\/p>

\u201cMy client\u2019s current focus is on cooperating with the authorities and completing quarantine.\u201d<\/p>

Jelbert says the worker is \u201csincerely concerned\u201d about the impact of the short-lived three day \u201ccircuit breaker\u201d lockdown.<\/p>[Source: 7news.com.au<\/a>]<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

PENBO:<\/strong> \u201cI suppose in the bloke\u2019s defence he would not have necessarily known that by lying this would happen. It wouldn\u2019t have twigged to him he would have just though I\u2019ll try and get myself out of the poop here\u2026 I\u2019m convinced there\u2019s some sort of immigration or cash in hand thing for him, I think that\u2019s the driver for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WILL:<\/strong> \u201cI think it\u2019s far less spectacular than people were originally suspecting\u2026 in his case \u2013 certainly the fact he\u2019s come out and made this sort of statement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
