State opposition leader Peter Malinauskas is questioning the lack of transparency around a decision to give the CEO of Naval Group an exemption from hotel quarantine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pierre Eric Pommellet \u2013 whose organisation will produce 12 new Attack Class subs in SA – has instead been allowed to spend his 14 days at a suburban address in Adelaide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Malinauskas told FIVEAA Breakfast\u2019s David & Will on Thursday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen we hear about it through a leaked report people start saying is this special favours for mates? And then we start the process of undermining the confidence. We think transparency is the key here. Exemptions are justified but let us know why\u2026<\/p>
\u201cI\u2019ve heard one report this morning that one of the reasons for the Naval executive getting his exemption is cyber security. I think most people accept that\u2026<\/p>
\u201cI just think there should be transparency about who\u2019s getting the exemption, the reason why and most South Australians will cop it sweet. But the second there\u2019s a suggestion that it\u2019s a favour for a mate or it\u2019s just corporate elites that are getting access to theses privileges that undermines confidence.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
