The storms then moved to the Riverland.&#8221;<\/p><p>&#8220;We&#8217;re getting some crews out today to work on those outstanding jobs, with the assistance of the CFS and MFS to work throughout the day.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to SA Power Networks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;There are still around 12,000 without power.&#8221;<\/p><p>&#8220;Big work to be done today in Streaky Bay, the Riverland, and in the Adelaide Metro. There will still be intermittent outages throughout the day, but we will frequently update affected customers.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Large hail, strong winds and heavy rain left a path of damage across the state, with Adelaide\u2019s north and the Barossa copping the worst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WATCH | Rain and hail pouring down the main street in Tanunda at about 10:30am this morning.<br><br>(Video: Barossa Leader) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DcWOlr32Bc\">pic.twitter.com\/DcWOlr32Bc<\/a><\/p>&mdash; FIVEAA (@1395FIVEAA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/1395FIVEAA\/status\/1453536124438077444?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 28, 2021<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SES has told FIVEAA that it has received more than 1,200 calls for assistance and had more than 50 vehicles on the road during Thursday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile at 6am on Friday more than 12,000 homes were still without power &#8211; down from 30,000 without power during Thursday night&#8217;s peak.
