We\u2019ve been told that work on it is at least a week behind schedule\u2026<\/p><p>\u201cPit building as been described as quote \u2018a shambles\u2019 to us. People inside and working on the project are saying they are well and truly up against it\u2026 they\u2019ve got their work cut out meeting the deadlines to make sure everything goes ahead according to plan.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Motorsport Chairman Andrew Daniels called in to clarify:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cThere have been logistical issues. Building the circuit has been a real challenge\u2026 the timeframes have been tight, the weather\u2019s been atrocious\u2026 the team have done an absolutely brilliant job\u2026 no one expected the amount of weather that\u2019s come in.<\/p><p>\u201cI can assure you that the pit building now is \u2013 basically all the structure is up and complete and they\u2019re now doing the internal fit out\u2026 the pit straight stand is all up and done. It has slipped and then caught up again and then slipped and then caught up again. It will be a push all the way through to the finish. I can absolutely assure you it will all be done perfectly safely and on time for the event. I have to credit the team for what they\u2019ve done. They\u2019ve worked through some atrocious conditions\u2026<\/p><p>\u201cHaving to get the infrastructure back, having a lot of new contractors who haven\u2019t worked on it before \u2013 the learning curve has been just about vertical. \u201cHas it been tough to get to here?
