\u201cI\u2019ve actually learnt to go the other way because once the Grand Final is over you can\u2019t do anything about it.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can\u2019t learn from a grand final loss because you\u2019ve got six months of brain sapping stuff before you get to play again.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne of the things you\u2019ve got to realise is that once the grand final is over and all the emotion is gone then you can\u2019t learn any more.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been involved in 10 grand finals either as a player or coach, it\u2019s one of my proudest stats, and not once did one of my coaches show me a grand final loss or win — and neither did I.<\/p>\n
\u201cThose two teams, those 44 players, will never play again on the same ground because of retirements, injuries, form or just because it\u2019s so hard to get there, all sorts of reasons.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo all you\u2019re going to be doing is regurgitating old stuff if you lost — stuff you don’t want to see — and probably praising too much if you won.<\/p>\n
