{"id":8740,"date":"2019-10-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-10-11T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/manufacturer-recalls-more-30000-cars-across-australia\/"},"modified":"2019-10-11T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-10-11T00:00:00","slug":"manufacturer-recalls-more-30000-cars-across-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/manufacturer-recalls-more-30000-cars-across-australia\/","title":{"rendered":"Manufacturer Recalls More Than 30,000 Cars Across Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Mazda Australia has issued a recall for 35,476 diesel versions of its Mazda 3, Mazda 6 and CX-5 model lines over concerns build-up of carbon deposits could cause premature wear of certain engine components.<\/h3>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caradvice.com.au\/799235\/mazda-3-6-cx-5-recalled\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">caradvice.com.au<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If the condition occurs, the following issues may be presented:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A gradual drop of engine power<br><br \/>\n\t\t&#8211; Multiple warning lights to display on the driver&#8217;s dashboard<br><br \/>\n\t\t&#8211; A gradual increase in vehicle stopping distance<br><br \/>\n\t\t&#8211; Potential engine stall with no restart<br><br \/>\n\t\t&#8211; Smoke may emit from the engine compartment<br><br \/>\n\t\tMazda says all of the above symptoms pose a hazard or accident risk to the vehicle&#8217;s occupants and other road users.<\/p>\n<p>Affected vehicles were available for sale between 26 January 2012 and 10 August 2018. In terms of model years by model line, the Mazda 3 diesel falls between MY14 and MY16, the Mazda 6 diesel between MY12 and MY18, and the CX-5 diesel between MY12 and MY18.<\/p>\n<p>There are a total of 35,476 vehicles affected across all three model lines \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.productsafety.gov.au\/system\/files\/VIN%20list_108.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a VIN list is available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Owners of the recalled models will be contacted by Mazda Australia.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mazda Australia has issued a recall for 35,476 diesel versions of its Mazda 3, Mazda 6 and CX-5 model lines over concerns build-up of carbon deposits could cause premature wear of certain engine components.
