116,000 flu vaccines are \u201csitting idle\u201d in a warehouse while doctors and nurses at major Adelaide hospitals are yet to receive their vaccinations, says the opposition.<\/h3>\n

According to Labor, SA Health has \u201cadmitted it has 116,000 flu vaccines sitting idle in a warehouse. Meanwhile, doctors and nurses at hospitals including the RAH and QEH have yet to receive vaccinations\u201d.<\/p>\n

On Monday former president of the AMA Dr Peter Ford told FIVEAA\u2019s Leon Byner<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cIn our experience the supply of the government-funded vaccines has been rationed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been applying each week for the last three weeks for 300 doses and only supplied in one case 60, later that was modified to 170, but we haven\u2019t been able to get as many as we would like to provide to our patients.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
