According to Adelaide Metro:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>From first service until approximately 7:45am, Friday 1 September 2023, there will be no tram services due to industrial action being taken by some drivers employed by private contractor Torrens Connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adelaide Metro has been advised that industrial action is scheduled between 4:45am and 7:45am, however tram services are not expected to return to normal timetabled running until approximately 8:30am &#8211; 9am.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udc49 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelaidemetro.com.au\/service-disruptions\/no-tram-services-during-morning-peak-due-to-industrial-action-friday-1-september\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alternative transport options and substitute bus locations here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, The Australian Education Union is also taking industrial action on Friday. According to the Education Department:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The majority of government schools and preschools will be operating as normal or with modified learning programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schools and preschools that will be closed all day are listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schools and preschools are notifying parents and carers directly and are available to answer any questions they may have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every site will have a staff member onsite to ensure no child is turned away if they are dropped off unexpectedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of schools had already scheduled pupil free days this Friday. These schools communicated well in advance to enable families to plan for alternative care arrangements for their children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This list of school closures is accurate as at 3.30pm, Wednesday 30 August 2023.
