{"id":96634,"date":"2023-09-26T07:08:56","date_gmt":"2023-09-25T21:38:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/?p=96634"},"modified":"2023-09-26T07:08:57","modified_gmt":"2023-09-25T21:38:57","slug":"two-people-dead-in-separate-crashes-in-sa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/two-people-dead-in-separate-crashes-in-sa\/","title":{"rendered":"Two People Dead in Separate Crashes in SA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two men have died in separate crashes on SA roads, taking the state\u2019s road toll to 84 compared to 55 at the same time last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/omny.fm\/shows\/david-and-will\/anonymous-caller-contacts-david-will-about-ndis-ro\/embed\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write\" width=\"100%\" height=\"180\" frameborder=\"0\" title=\"Anonymous caller contacts David &#038; Will about NDIS rorting\"><\/iframe>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to SAPOL:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just before 3.30pm on Monday 25 September, a car left the road and went about 20 metres down an embankment on Mount Lofty Summit Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emergency services worked to extricate the driver from the wreckage before the 24-year-old Mount Barker man was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by ambulance in a critical condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sadly, he died overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mount Lofty Summit Road was closed for several hours while Major Crash officers examined the scene but was reopened about 7pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Investigations into the crash are continuing. Anyone who witnessed the blue Toyota Corolla driving prior to the crash is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at https:\/\/crimestopperssa.com.au\/<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The other fatal crash occurred in Berri:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About 12.20pm on Monday 25 September, police were called to Worman Street after a car left the road and crashed into a tree, reports SAPOL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 72-year-old local man, sadly died at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Worman Street remains closed between Lean Street and Kay Avenue while Major Crash Investigators are on the roadway but is expected to be cleared soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MCIS are investigating if a medical episode contributed to the crash.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two men have died in separate crashes on SA roads, taking the state\u2019s road toll to 84 compared to 55 at the same time last year.
