The warning applies to Adelaide metro, Mount Lofty Ranges, Mid North, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East, Lower South East and parts of Yorke Peninsula and Flinders districts.<\/p>\n
By early Thursday afternoon more than 20,000 properties<\/a> were without power has winds brought down power lines across Adelaide.<\/p>\n According to the BOM:<\/p>\n \u201cDamaging northerly winds, averaging 55-65 km\/h with gusts in excess of 90 km\/h, are forecast in the warning area this afternoon.<\/p>\n \u201cLocations which may be affected include Adelaide, Renmark, Mount Gambier, Clare, Murray Bridge and Naracoorte.<\/p>\n \u201cWinds averaging 55-65 km\/h have been observed at Port Pirie, Snowtown and Roseworthy earlier today.
